Dr. Linda Jorgensen graduated from UC Davis Veterinary School in 1979. From there she went to Cornell for a one year small animal internship until 1980. Linda joined Sequoia Veterinary Hospital as a general practitioner in 1980 and in 1983 she moved to New York to complete a residency in Veterinary Internal Medicine at Cornell University. In 1986 Dr. Jorgensen returned to California and has been with us ever since. For 30 years she has been a well-known and respected board certified internal medicine specialist. Difficult internal medicine cases are referred to her from all over the Bay Area. She is skilled in cardiology, gastroenterology, oncology, and soft tissue surgery. She is adept at and enjoys cardiac and abdominal ultrasound, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, and laparoscopy.
 
Dr. Jorgensen became the Medical Director at Sequoia Veterinary Hospital in January of 2005.  She and her husband Ross have two wonderful daughters, Becky and Amy.  Becky recently graduated from UCLA and is working on her Ph.d at UCSF. Amy is attending UC Davis just like her Mom, and is interested in pursuing a career in physical therapy. Their family also includes two dogs Penny and Franck, Max the cat, a chinchilla named Roo, and various fish.
 
 
 
 
 

 

 

 

Katie Liu, DVM


Associate Veterinarian

Graduated University of California Davis in 2004

 

Dr. Katie Liu grew up in the East Bay, and she earned her undergraduate degree from Harvard University in Cambridge, MA. She returned to California and received her veterinary degree at UC Davis in 2004. Following graduation, she completed a one year rotating small animal internship and then continued as an associate veterinarian at a general and specialty referral hospital, Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic in Loomis, CA. Eager to return to her native Bay Area, she moved back in 2007 and has worked on the Peninsula ever since, particularly at The Animal Doctors in Palo Alto and performing surgeries at the Humane Society Silicon Valley. She enjoys the diversity of cases in veterinary medicine, with particular interests in feline medicine, surgery and preventative medicine.

 

Katie lives in San Mateo with her husband, Rob, and their children, Gabe and Lily. They also share their home with one sweet Cocker Spaniel mix, Dexy, two cats, Stella and Stevie, and chinchilla Bug. In her limited free time, she enjoys swimming, hiking and reading.

 

 

 

 

Jeralyn Terry, DVM


Associate Veterinarian

Graduated University of California Davis in 2008

 

Dr. Terry was born in Fullerton and raised in Orange County, California. She graduated from the University of Southern California with a bachelor of science in biology in 2003. She then attended UC Davis and earned her doctor of veterinary medicine degree in 2008. Jeralyn comes to us from Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic, a large specialty hospital in Sacramento where she worked for the past 4 years. She loves veterinary internal medicine and has particular interests in veterinary ophthalmology, feline medicine, infectious diseases, and autoimmune diseases.

Jeralyn and her husband Nate share their home with two cats, Periwinkle Twinkle-Toes and Calla, as well a German Shorthaired Pointer rescue named Bunsen, and a Labrador mix, Kenai. When not at work Jeralyn spends her time with her family, her husband Nate and baby girl Iris.

 

 

 

Laura Sickafoose, DVM, DACVD


Veterinary Dermatologist

Graduated University of California Davis 2007

Board Certified Veterinary Dermatology 2010

 
 

Dr. Sickafoose attended UC Davis where she received numerous scholarships for academic excellence and was valedictorian of her graduating class. She went on to complete an internship in general medicine and surgery from San Francisco Veterinary Specialists, then her dermatology residency at Louisiana State University. Dr. Sickafoose has a special interest in feline dermatology and infectious diseases. Outside of dermatology her interests include running, hiking with her dogs, camping and spending time with her family.
